somewhere in there is nutritional value
I wanted a cookie but all I had was this.

It was so rich I couldn't finish but it was good. We need new batteries in our bathroom scale and I haven't been able to weigh myself in a few days. Usually, if the number goes up 1-2 lbs I eat lots of fruit that day until it goes back down...then I let myself eat something crappy like this. There is a method to my madness.

time for the spandex pants
This Thanksgiving was a good one. Before someone says the grace we all hold hands and say what we're thankful for. We always laugh and cry at each others answers.
-My Grandpa was thankful that the Lord had kept his entire family healthy and alive all these years. We cried.
Here is the center piece on the kids table. Fresh flowers, cinnamon sticks & little pilgrims which they made as a craft after dinner.
The feast hall...before we slopped green bean casserole and gravy all over the white linens.
My mom came up with this great idea for a center piece. She bought fresh bananas, oranges, pears, apples, papaya and lemons to be the center piece. We sprinkled around some fall leaves, shelled nuts and candles. So beautiful! Martha Stewart would be proud.
Renae and Abby cleared off all the plates from the kid table and the grown up table [mean while the grown ups shared a bottle of merlot and played the game you used to play in third grade...Telephone. More laughing. AND it's offical, my Grandpa can't hear anything...even when your speaking right into his ear. ha!]
Then Caleb volunteered to clean off all the dishes and load the dish washer! I was so proud of the young lad. I took this picture so I could prove to his parents that he really did do the dishes. It was a great Thanksgiving. So much to be thankful for!
-My cousin Renae was thankful for the color orange [deep stuff, I know].
-My cousin Jack said he was thankful for Indians. Which doesn't come close to topping the year when he said he was thankful for the time that him and his friend Grayson ran around naked together. ha!
-I was thankful for Colt, and my baby in my belly, and for my baby daddies. Yes, I accidentally said baby daddies instead of baby DADDY! Singular. Just one. We laughed.
-Then I moved Colt's bottom lip and made him say he was thankful for Apple Juice. Not two seconds later he let out the largest man belch the world had ever heard. Laughed.
-My Grandpa was thankful that the Lord had kept his entire family healthy and alive all these years. We cried.
-My Grandma was thankful for my Grandpa. After 50+ years of marriage she wouldn't be the woman she was with out him in her life and all the people standing in this circle holding hands wouldn't be here with out him either. He's a great man. We cried some more.

I'm also thankful that all my maternity pants have the spandex built into them.

cutest coke
Yesterday I made a run to Walmart to get the Thanksgiving goods & I grabbed a pizza from the deli. It was realllly good. Then on my way to check out I saw this huge bin full of these cute, shiny round things and then [IMPULSE BUY] I bought two of them.
Is that, or is that not the cutest Diet Coke you ever did see? It's supposed to be a Christmas ornament. Get it? Christmas!!?! Andy of course made fun of me the entire night mocking me in a high voice, "Humm...Is that Dt. Coke? Shaped like a Christmas Ornament. Oh It's so cute! I'll take two!" He does it in this weird high pitched voice which sounds nothing like me. Weirdo.
We enjoyed the two sips it provided with our pizza then we got some Crystal Light.
But those two sips...
Worth it!

it's an oreo

Pair it with a goblet full of milk that's been sitting in the freezer for 15 minutes and you have a little slice of Heaven. I would like for this to be my lunch everyday.
If I could...
I would...
But I can't...
So I shan't...
Is shan't a word?
What's your latest craving?

don't mess with me when i'm holding tongs and a grill scrubber
Throughout our marriage there have been a few things Andy won't let me do.
1) Grill
and
2) Mow
Doing those things must make him feel like a man because, although I've asked, he still rather me not. I think he thinks I might a) melt the siding of the house and b) mow my initials in the front yard. MPB is swirly and pretty! Anyhow, I'm not sure if the sun has been so hot that he can't think straight or what, but as of this last week, I've officially done both! And I didn't suck at either!
Because I'm such a cheese ball I had Andy take a picture. I swear I'm not as lame as I look in these pictures. We bought pork chops [which we had never cooked before], marinated them and then I grilled them. BEST pork chops ever. Seriously some dang good meat.
Get this...the pork chops were on sale $3.00 for a 4 pack. Then we had green beans and a salad from our garden. Which were FREE. Then the next night we had leftovers. Which equals $1.50/night for dinner for the Bredens. Then we ate a big bowl of dirt with grass on top for dessert and it also was...FREE!
Here I am looking like a cheese ball.
Yes, I'm wearing a scarf in the middle of summer.
No, It didn't catch on fire.
Yes, I'm getting my hair done on Friday.
No, I didn't use the scrubber to flip the chops.
Our many attempts at a family picture.
Yes, I know how cute my husband is.
Yes, I know how big my head looks, thanks for reminding me.

ive gone bananas
Today I got the crave of all cravings for homemade pizza. After begging and pleading Kaley to join me for dinner [Mo: Kaley, wanna come to my house for pizza? Kaley: Um...Yep!] I ran to the store to get some pizza essentials.
My plan was to only buy what was on the list. That is always the plan. Typically a plan I don't stick to very well, which is why Andy wrestles me to the ground and sits on me every time I say I want to go to the grocery. I'm proud to say I made it all the way to the frozen food section before I saw a giant sign sticking out from a freezer door that said, "Buy ONE, Get ONE FREE". To be frank, I didn't care what it was I was going to buy it. It's said FREE! I decided Kaley and Baby Ava needed something sweet so I headed that way.

As my squeeky cart squaked up to the FREE sign I got a little closer and read what was actually on sale. Diana's Bananas?
And there she was...
sitting pretty on the top shelf...
the heavens opened...
music played...
a giant fan blew my hair all around...
FROZEN
BANANA'S
DIPPED in
HEAVENS
SWEETEST
NECTAR
aka. CHOCOLATE.
I put two boxes of them in my cart (after all one was free). I skipped with glee for the remainder of my shopping experience and as soon as I got in the car I picked up the phone and dialed...so excited to share my new find.
Kaley: Hello?
Mo: Hi. It's Mo.
Kaley: Ya. I know. Hi.
Mo: This might be gross or it might be glorious but I bought frozen banana's dipped in chocolate for dessert. Sounds good huh??
Kaley: Ya. I saw those at the store the other day.
Mo: Oh....well...I just couldn't wait to tell you. See you in 15
1st came salad...
then came pizza...
then came a chocolate covered frozen banana in my belly.
I ate three before the night was over. Do not judge me. You have have have to try it. Next time your in the freezer isle picture me on your shoulder with devil ears, a little red cape and a pitch fork.
"Hey You. Ya you! Why don't you turn the cart a little to the right. The frozen isle is calling your name. Dianna's Banana's! Dianna's Banana's! You want to eat them. You really do. They have fruit in them therefore you can eat 20 of them in one night just like Mo. Temptation is bad...but not as bad when one box is Freeee. Muh ha ha ha!"

carrots in a cake
Tonight I turned down carrot cake. I just closed my eyes and remembered back to that one birthday I had when I ate carrot cake for dessert. Will power at it's finest.
