Our first attempt with the fork went a little something like this...Momma put a piece of grape on the fork. Colt put it in his mouth. Momma cheered and clapped. Colt held the fork with one hand and ate the rest of the meal with his other free utensils-less hand.
Our first attempt with the bowl went like this...Momma put some grapes, peas and cheese in his bowl, after suctioning it to the tray. Colt grabbed some cheese out of the bowl. Momma clapped. Colt then took every piece of food out of the bowl and set it on the tray, then finished the rest of his lunch with an empty bowl in front of his face. Colt then realized he could slide the bowl across the tray while suctioned on, and that became his new game.
We're proud of you son :)
I figured even if he doesn't get it now, if I keep putting them out for him to use he'll eventually get the hang of it.
AND THAT'S how we use our utensils.
