i've got 15 minutes before the baby needs fed!

Hello!  Oh how I want to blog!  Really, I get a free five minutes, open up my 'Labor Story' draft that I started last week,  start typing and someone poops, or barfs or grabs the dogs tail,  starts running the opposite direction, the dog freaks out and that 'someone' gets hurt.  That someone isn't Andy, or Molly, or Me...it's Colt.  Although I am often running the opposite direction of the dog just to get away from her.  I'm mean.

Anyhow, just wanted to let you know life is pretty spectacular.  Molly is doing awesome.  She's been sleeping from midnight until 10am and only getting up once to eat! She eats well. Sleeps well. Poops really well.  We are blessed to have another beautiful, happy, relatively cooperative baby.  God is good!

I'm feeling great!  I've healed up really quickly and am feeling myself.  Allergies have been kicking my butt but [I just said 'butt but'] I'm a fan of Claritin D.  Also, get this...I gained 20 lbs with Molly and as of this morning I've lost 21 lbs! Do the math baby!  It's all gone and then some. I'm going to breastfeed my way into a size 6.  Not really, but right now I think I could.  I'm the incredible shrinking woman.

There are so many pictures and videos I want to share just really can't find the time.  I'm sort of getting worried my blog will get cobwebs.  Call me if you can't wait until my next blog...actually don't because I never answer and half the time it's on vibrate which I later find in someones closet or tucked away in the couch.  One day I'll figure out how to do it all.

our first days

I'm back and I'm no longer wearing Molly, I'm holding her! She is awesome. My labor/delivery went so well. I'll post the whole story later.  We just got home and are adjusting to life as a family of four.  Gotta run!  I got babies all over the place.

Go Time

Guest blogger Andy:
Just wanted to say that Mo woke up at 4 am with cramps. By 5 am she was having some pretty bad contractions. So she woke me up when they kept getting worse. At the hospital by 7 with some severe contractions. She actually threw up in a doctors parking spot in the parking garage. How's that for a thank you? We were checked into triage where her water started to leak and she made everyone in the hospital well aware I NEEDED an epidural. We were then.moved to our birthing suite. The epidural was not far behind and what a relief. After the Heaven Juice, people could start talking to Mo and I could actually hold her hand without dismissing me with hisses. Mo is now 7cm dilated and very comfortable. She is actually doing her makeup now. That's all for now, check back later.

lawn boys

Colt loves all things Daddy and Daddy loves all things outside.  These guys have been making our yard look great while I sit with my feet kicked back and rub my belly.  I'm sure Andy can't wait for Colt to be able to mow instead of just throwing rocks around.

animal crackers to the rescue

Just so you all don't think I'm manic depressive I had a really good day today. I just don't always blog about them. Which is stupid because I'm way more happy than sad. But ya...

Today I put a jar of animal crackers on the changing table and told Colt he could have one if he laid down like a good boy while I changed his diaper...AND wouldn't ya know he went along with me like a champ. A CHAMPION. He is the champion, my friends. And he'llllll keep on fiiighting till the ennnnd...[unless you give him an animal cracker, then he'll be a good boy]. Nice rendition, huh?

Then I spent the day at my mom and dad's...basking in the sun eating a mixture of ice cream and donuts. Thought about dipping my donut in my ice cream..but that would have taken it too far.

Speak of ice cream and donuts [and oreos] I have eaten a lot of sweets lately...but would gladly like to report that I've only gained 18-20lbs with Moll's and we know she's at least 8 of it. One day soon I'll start eating strawberries again instead...but until then...

Have another oreo?
Why thank you.
I think I will.
